Govardhana Pooja is a Hindu festival celebrated on the next day of Deepavali, symbolizing the worship of nature and Lord Krishna’s protection. It commemorates the lifting of Govardhana Hill by Krishna to shield the villagers of Gokul from torrential rains. Devotees create replicas of the hill with cow dung, decorate it with flowers and offer food as Annakut (mountain of food). The pooja highlights gratitude towards nature, cows, and divine protection.
